Extern Job Shadowing Program
Provide students with valuable insight into your career by hosting them at your workplace. Students spend half a day to a maximum of five days taking part in job shadowing, informal presentations, and tours of your workplace, which will allow them to learn more about what you do and how you got there. This career exploration field trip connects a group of 10-25 students to professionals working in various occupations within your workplace. As a group, students visit, ask questions, and learn about the work environment, daily tasks, skills, and education required for each occupation. Contact a campus Mississauga, St. George, Scarborough and sign up.
Share your personal career story with students by becoming a member of our informational interview database. Mentors from private and public sectors are profiled in the database and are willing to meet with students in-person, over the phone or by Skype for a 30 minute informational interview. Your profile will be on-line in our private database, accessible only by UofT students. Click here to view the Mentor Guide
